El Noi del la Mare (meaning the Child of the Mother) is a traditional Catalan (Northern Spain) Christmas song made famous by arranger and composer Miquel Llobet (1878- 1938).  His arrangement became well-known by guitarist virtuoso Andre Segovia who frequently performed it as an encore.  The first verse of El Noi de la Mare translates as follows:

What shall we give to the Son of the Virgin?
What can we give that the Babe will enjoy?
First, we shall give Him a tray full of raisins,
Then we shall offer sweet figs to the Boy.
First, we shall give Him a tray full of raisins,
Then we shall offer sweet figs to the Boy.
